HIGHLAND HEIGHTS,
Ky. - Northern Kentucky University men’s basketball head
coach Dave Bezold announced Tuesday that Courtney Fergerson
has been added to the roster and will join the team for
tonight’s
game against UC-Clermont.
Fergerson, a
6-foot-2 junior guard, played two seasons at McHenry County
(Ill.) College and averaged 24 points, seven rebounds and
four assists per game during the 2002-03 campaign. He was
also named first team All-Skyway Conference as a sophomore.
A
native of Racine, Wis., Fergerson also was named Skyway
Conference Player of the Week twice during his career at
McHenry.
A shooting guard with outstanding quickness, Fergerson
once scored 34 points in a game for the Fighting Scots.
Fergerson
is a 2001 graduate of Washington Park (Wis.) High School,
and he averaged 18 points, six rebounds and four assists
as
a senior. He also earned All-Southeastern Conference honors
for the Panthers and was honorable mention all-state as
a senior.
